1. Scope

These terms of use govern the use of FairFind, a directory of fair-trade stores, operated by [NAME / COMPANY] (“we”). By creating a user account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

2. Description of services

FairFind offers a searchable directory of fair-trade stores, including map display, product information and user-generated reviews. We provide the platform to the best of our knowledge, but do not guarantee constant availability, completeness or accuracy of the listed store and product information.

3. Registration & user account

• You must provide truthful information when registering.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
• An account is personal and non-transferable.
• You can delete your account at any time; please contact [EMAIL ADDRESS] to do so.

4. User-generated content

If you add stores, write reviews, or upload images, the following applies:

• Your content must be truthful and not misleading.
• You warrant that you hold the necessary rights to any content you upload (e.g. photos).
• Offensive, discriminatory, unlawful, or promotional content (spam) is prohibited.
• We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove content in the event of violations, and to suspend accounts for repeated violations.
• By submitting content, you grant us a simple, unlimited right to display your content within the platform.

5. Store listings & ownership

Store operators can claim their listings (“claim” feature). We reserve the right to review claim requests and reject them in case of reasonable doubt.

6. Sponsoring (paid promotion)

Confirmed owners of a store listing can take out a paid, monthly sponsoring subscription. This results in preferential placement in search results, category listings and, where applicable, on the homepage, according to the ranking algorithm used on the platform. The following applies:

• Sponsored listings are clearly and permanently marked as “Sponsored” for all users.
• Sponsoring provides an additional ranking boost, but does not guarantee any specific position and does not replace the evaluation of quality factors such as reviews, verification status, or distance.
• Payment is processed via our payment service provider Mollie (see privacy policy); once payment is confirmed, a recurring monthly subscription is set up.
• We occasionally issue time- or quantity-limited promo codes (e.g. for campaigns); details and validity of each code are communicated when it is issued.
• The subscription can be canceled at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period, via the sponsoring management in your account. Amounts already paid are not refunded on a pro-rata basis.
• We reserve the right to terminate sponsoring without refund in the event of violations of these terms of use (e.g. misleading store content).

7. Disclaimer of liability

We are not liable for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of store and product information or user-generated reviews. Use of the platform is at your own risk. We are only liable for damages in cases of intent or gross negligence, to the extent permitted by law.

7. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms of use as needed, for example due to new features or legal changes. We will inform registered users of significant changes by email or an in-app notice.

8. Governing law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, insofar as this is not precluded by mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence.
